Are you a Hindu? How aware are you?

.Who is a Hindu? Why you should be a proud Hindu? The word Religion comes from the Latin word religio which consists of two words, viz., re (back) and ligare (to bring or bind). That which binds the soul back to God is religion. Religion shows the way for the attainment of God-realization.

Religion satisfies the deep inward craving in man who is not always content with leading merely an animal existence and wants spiritual consolation, solace and peace. Man cannot live by bread alone. A time comes in the life of many of us when mere worldly prosperity does not satisfy us and we hanker after something more. In the case of many more, trials and tribulations of life turn their attention to spiritual solace.

Hinduism is the religion of the Hindus, a name given to the Universal Religion which hailed supreme in India. It is the oldest of all living religions. This is not founded by any prophet. Buddhism, Christianity and Mohammedanism owe their origin to the prophets. Their dates are fixed. But no such date can be fixed for Hinduism. Hinduism is not born of the teachings of particular prophets. It is not based on a set of dogmas preached by a particular set of teachers. It is free from religious fanaticism.

The Kala Chakra or the Cycle of time

with its inception at Sata Yuga and end at Kali Yuga is an essential aspect of Hinduism. India which is also called as Bharat has produced many acharyas or spiritual preceptors like Adi Shankaracharya and Sri Ramanuja who since time immemorial directed the masses to the way of life which holds social significance even today.

India never conquered territories or annexed dominions, she wants absolute freedom to its children. She has a very expansive heart, she includes all nations in the embrace of her love. The Western nations and its people are the descendants of the Hindus. They might have forgotten their old connections with the Hindu culture but this cannot be effaced from the annals of history of Hindu culture. Hindu civilization was at its zenith in the days of yore, Greeks and Romans, imitated Hindus and absorbed Hindu thoughts.

The Arabs came to our country, they married the women of local land and we welcomed and accepted them as our sons, the Parsis came in when they were persecuted by the Christian and Muslim converts. Bharat embraced them. To this I want to make a point that the Shankaracharya Guru proposed certain rules for Parsi brothers for them to reside within the vicinity of our nation which included adoption of vegetarianism, usage of the traditional outfit of India and the use of Sanskrit shlokas in their marriage, religious Persians or Parsis even today do not consume meat and pork.

Mesopotamia and Babylon after being conquered was converted into a complete Islamic state in 17 years, the same fate was met by Egypt by being converted into an Islamic state in 21 years.

For 800 years we were under the Muslim rule for 200 years we were ruled by the Christians in the form of British who are the reason behind the haywire education system which was just proposed for their administrative convenience not only this but distorted the caste system which was never birth based, they never wanted to educate us Indians.

Famous American authors declared America as a Christian state, the so-called secular people took on streets, protesting that the demographic structure comprised of people from all faiths, to be mentioned largely the Jews, Christians and Hindus. The learned men defended by saying that the situation might have been so but the dominant population is that of the Christians the rest are all welcomed guests in their nation. Although it is enshrined in constitution as a secular nation but the real affairs of a nation are always different, so for a nation that has endured events treachery in the past what wrong is it for it to restore its real religion?

I have no shame in admitting the fact that our clear weakness is unity because of the disintegration amongst the people.

Due to the overwhelming inclusiveness in our country, people no longer care to pay homage to their ancestors and their roots.

In Islamic states like Saudi Arabia, one is not allowed to carry out religious rituals or celebrate festivals of other faith. A few years ago, such an incident caused Hindu people to be bashed out of the country.

Masjid or Mosque is just a place to read namaz, it is treated as a holy place in India whereas in countries like Qatar and Saudi they demolished just to construct new roads. So, are people trying to say that which is an Islamic state is less aware of their religious facts and matters than we are?

In India forty thousand temples were brutally destroyed, those which were established with necessary invocation of essential hymns and rituals. A Temple cannot be demolished once it is established in such a manner, no such importance is given to masjid, so what is it that triggers people in India?

They are protesting to build lord Rama temple on the land of Ayodhya which the birthplace of Lord Rama was, a proposal for construction of Babri Masjid was put forward, the fundamentals of Hinduness does not permit to deny demands of people belonging to other religions. Never in the history of Hindu culture is there an incident of coercive conversion, the greats have disintegrated from our nation, henceforth it is time for us to bring back the religion of land where it was practiced since the inception of time.

Henceforth India is the land from which all the religions grew or if that embroils some devotes, the core values of most of the religions are similar to that of Santana Dharma, it is not a crime for us to restore our original identity. Hindustan has always welcomed people to stay in peace and harmony.

Most of you by now might have formed an opinion that this is not an article on awareness of the history of Hindu culture but rather a support to a certain religious group. Now, people have a habit of believing in science because that is acceptable to their modern sensibility, according to research of the Cambridge University of genetic studies the DNA of a Muslim is same as that of a Hindu, same of that of a Shudra and Brahmin. I think one can deny that religion or god might not exist but I really know that one cannot deny the facts and figures of science.

We welcome everyone to practice their culture within the territory of our nation we never denied the fact but it is an hour to regain a Hindu identity and have a Hindu renaissance to know our culture, to know the right history, to know the right facts and live in harmony.

Battle of Rakshasbhuvan

It was evening, after planning the strategy for the following day , Raghunath rao stepped out of Peshwa Madhavrao's tent when ,suddenly like a flash right in front of Raghunathrao, before he could realise what had happened ,an armed man stood in front of him. The sharp blade of his sword glistened in the twilight. Before he managed to escape his blade managed to slice through his shoulder. He was taken to his tent where was examined by the Royal physician. The wound was not too dee, medicine was applied and it was dressed. The next morning, clouds had gathered in the sky. The base camp was idle. Suddenly conches started blaring.  Recognising the summons, the soldiers started getting ready as fast as they could. In the next few hours Peshwa's troops charged towards the Jhadav camp, Jhadav's camp was utterly taken back by this sudden attack. Shrimant Madhavrao was sitting in Raghunath's camp when Jhadav was brought in captive. Raghunathrao expressed his discontentment upon...

THE ROAR UNHEARD : CHHATRAPATI SHIVAJI BHONSLE ( PART -1)

How often do we come across men of grit and character? How often do we flip the annals of history and come across rulers who could be bestowed with the responsibility of the country? At a point in time when dark clouds of Islamic forces hailed supreme and persecution was at its peak, a cry in the Maharashtrian district of Shivneri, crackled as though it was chosen to rattle the Islamic forces and liberate the land, the  man who fought for the culture and established a Hindu Empire, the pride of Marathas- Chhatrapati Shivaji, not known to many as Shivaji Bhonsle. As mercenaries, the Bhonsles settled in districts of Maharashtra owing their sword and allegiance to the Muslim rulers who ruled there. Much of the Deccan was annexed by the Adil Shahi Dynasty, who too accepted the suzerainty of the Mughals. The Adil Shahi Sultanate ruled majorly over the Bijapur district of the present day Karnataka, Bijapur was earlier a part of the Bahamani Kingdom, which had broken into five compa...

The Chief Architect Of India - Peshwa Madhavrao Bhatt- Pt 1

After the decisive Third Battle of Panipat much had changed in the political , historical and cultural fabric in the Indian History , the rise of regional powers like the Jats,Sikhs and several others was witnessed.  The sacrifice of Shrimant Sadashivrao Bhau and Vishwasrao on the battlefield made them legends, on the other hand Balaji Baji Rao aka Nana Saheb succumbed to the loss of a valiant brother and a righteous heir. In the midst of such a political crisis ,what was the Peshwai to do? Was this the end of the Vision of Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj and great statesman Bajirao ?The countless sacrifices made by great generals and ministers of the Samrjy seemed to be in vain. The Peshwai was now in the hands of a widow , a greedy brother of the late Peshwa who waited patiently to capture the Gaddi and a young child-like muscular boy of 16, whose face shone like the Kohinoor ,whose grit was yet to be tested verily , by the lord, who mustered the courage to reorganize the disgrun...
